A New Edition

There is a new edition of Moonshine. I was very excited when I first published Moonshine, but then, over time, I grew more and more unhappy with it. It wasn’t the books fault, it was mine. I rushed it. Excited with the prospect of seeing my book in print, in typical Aries fashion, I jumped. I should have taken more time with it. No fault of Patrick McEvoy either, he is a wonderful artist, but I felt the original cover was too masculine and I decided the subtitle “An Eldritch Tale” was all wrong also. I grew disenchanted with it because I didn’t think it conveyed what I wanted. So below, I list the changes I made to the new edition. Overall though, if you read the first edition, don’t worry, you don’t have to re-read it to go on to the next book in the series.

New Cover

This part is obvious and you can see the side by side comparison up above.

New Series Name

An Eldritch Tale didn't fit. While it is a darker faery tale which uses Victorian Gothic themes and atmosphere, it is not an Eldritch Tale. So, I changes it to The Gilded Faery Chronicles because the Victorian Age was also known as the Gilded Age and I thought that fit better.

Content

I went back and edited the text. I thought the prose needed to be tightened up. I also added in a few new scenes and changed a couple of older scenes that I was unhappy with.

Font

I changed the Chapter Fonts and the text fonts to something more Victorian.
